A Historic Setting With Real Character
White Lion Antiques has been privately-owned and run since 2005, but the story of the building goes back much further. Set within a former coaching inn, it offers a setting that feels every bit as interesting as the stock inside.
The story goes that Cromwell and the Roundheads used the white lion during the English Civil War & George III and his family took breakfast there while travelling from Windsor to Weymouth.
That sense of history and character helps make a visit memorable, and is one of the reasons so many people enjoy returning.

An absolute treasure trove of antiques, collectables and vintage items. Furniture, jewellery, clothes, homeware, garden, toys etc.
Lots of dealers and lots of bargains too. Plenty of parking. Make a visit and you won't be disappointed.
It is deceptively large, spread over three floors, with an excellent selection of well displayed antiques, retro items and collectibles. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The tea room was very busy during my visit which is always a sign of a place worth visiting. I bought, at a very reasonable price, a Danish Mid Century teak magazine rack and I was delighted to take this away with me.
Absolutely love this antique centre. There's so much choice with prices to suit every pocket. Set out over 2/3 floors (there's extra staircases to upper rooms from the second floor) from various sellers, there's so much to see. There's a lovely cafe for when you need a rest.
A variety of items from modern day items that can't be found elsewhere to a variety of antique furniture and jewellery. Always enjoy my visit.
We wandered the expansive select of antiques and collectables. Bought a few things, thought about buying a few more to be honest, but decided to come back later this month. Well worth a visit if you are in the area but try to spare enough time to have a good look around as there's a lot to browse.
An absolute treat. Clean, organised antiques with reasonable prices. Every time is an adventure with new items to see. The cafe also offers great food to finish the thrift with. Would highly recommend to any thrifters or antique lovers.
Absolutely massive place, so much to choose from from one extreme to the other, covering a wide range of prices. Everything I have a look round I always spend money. Plenty of parking and a cafe inside with a good choice of choices.
